Jimmy's Egg has set the standard of great breakfast and brunch meals for me. No matter where I go, I can't get omelettes as delightful as Jimmy's: fluffy and packed full of toppings. The home fries are perfectly cooked, soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The homemade toast is like glorious Texas Toast, only fresh (never frozen) with a perfect amount of butter already slathered on the bread. The coffee's yummy too. But what really sets Jimmy's Egg apart from other eateries is the awesome staff who come by your table a minimum of 6 times to take your order, check on you, check on you again, refill your coffee, refill your water, and bring you the tab. The waitstaff genuinely wants you to enjoy your time there, since they know that customer service brings their clientelle back time and again. I think I love you, Jimmy! ...Wherever you are...

Ordered the Eggs Benedict on a Sunday...big mistake. Eggs were woefully undercooked and, just, I can't even. Sundays are crazy anyway, maybe that played a part. BUT if they would have come to me and said, "Poaching eggs take a little longer than scrambling (rubberizing) eggs, would you mind waiting a few extra minutes?" I would have been so appreciative of their honesty instead of feeling like the quality suffered because of a necessity to be quick. That being said, the dollar-sized pancakes were really good and served with warm syrup. The fiancé had French toast with scrambled eggs and sausage and was happy. A small glass of milk was $2.59...so I thought that was a little outrageous. It's always hit or miss, depending on what location you go to.

The food was just okay, but the service was decent. I'd read pretty good things about Jimmy's Egg, but I'm here to tell you that they don't serve you anything that you probably couldn't make better at home. They get 2 stars because the server was and greeted several of the customers by name.

Jimmy's Egg is my favorite casual breakfast in OKC, and in my opinion, this location is the best. I've been to locations in Edmond and the newer location on Hefner, but the old school MacArthur spot is my favorite. Service is always great, and the food is delicious. Service is super quick; you can usually get in and out within 30 minutes if there is no wait. Some of my favorites are the biscuit debris and the garbage breakfast, and the new scrambles they've added to the menu are also awesome. I've never had their lunch entrees, but I can vouch for their breakfast. Pretty much anything you get will be a delicious, homey breakfast.

Only been to jimmys three times and this was the first time at this location. My previous two stops were over on may and 18th I think and were great but not at this location. The breakfast had no seasoning and the ham tasted strange to me. I will return to jimmys just not this location.
